Briefly, the research within LabSensNano covers the following areas:

  • the development and usage of modern electrochemical methods employing nanoelectrodes and nanopotenciostat, and other systems on a chip based on a physical transducer such as MEMS. The Lab on a chip system is also investigated.
  • the synthesis of colloidal nanodots and quantum dots, magnetic nanoparticles, metallic clusters, and nanorods. Their surface modification and functionalization is performed for medical applications. The nanostructured surfaces for advanced sensing and microelectronic applications are fabricated via non-lithographic template based technique.
  • the nanomaterials application for biosensing, diagnostics, and drug delivery, in vivo imaging techniques and targeted therapy of serious diseases (e.g. tumor diseases).
